Improved drug therapy through shared knowledge

The PharmaCenter Basel is the interdisciplinary center for excellence in pharma sciences at the University of Basel. We aim to establish a leading research and teaching community in drug development, drug therapy and drug safety. An open community of more than two dozen research groups from the university and affiliated institutions will communicate, collaborate and teach together to gain a better understanding of disease mechanisms, their pharmacological treatment and the safe use of the agents used in this treatment. Together with partners from the pharmaceutical industry we plan to translate increased knowledge about the molecular basis of disease into improved therapies.
